[ cinder (and everyone else in cerealia) had heard about the state of pyrrha's well being from the network the other day. while her contribution to aiding jaune's valiant quest of "getting pyrrha better" was incredibly minimal, cinder did have other plans in mind. plans that were diametrically opposed to pyrrha's teammate, unsurprisingly.
rarely does cinder ever does her own dirty work but this was quite personal. something, although relatively minor, she wanted to get done by her own means. the fact that the invincible girl was severely weakened meant cinder couldn't pass this opportunity for... well, a variety of things.
hence why cinder is standing outside pyrrha's apartment with a container of pumpkin soup in hand, some time after jaune had gone to his work as (and if she remembered this correctly) a street sweeper. she rings the doorbell to alert pyrrha of her presence and considers calling out to her if necessary. ]
[ It may well be necessary. Pyrrha’s comfortably ensconced in a heavy mess of blankets, pillows and cybuddies, sleeping off her fuzzy head, stuffed noise and scratchy throat as best as possible. The noise is light, her head syrupy from cold medicine and barely hearing it. Barely, however, is pointedly different from not hearing it. Slowly, she stirs, and then - ]
Jaune? Can you get that, please?
[ Silence reigns, probably because he’s not home. Oh, right. In her head, a sleepy Pyrrha overturns the pros and cons of simply not answering. And then, politeness winning out, she slowly rises.
Cinder is greeted with quite a sight. A thick cotton robe is folded over Pyrrha’s nightgown, her eyes somewhat glazed over and her facial complexion missing a few shades of its normal pallor. Plaited hair falls over one shoulder, with frayed edges peeking out.
Recognition is slow. It’s the woman she danced with at the party, the one who knew her by name. ]
[ it is a far cry from the image of pyrrha cinder's grown used to. no longer clad in her usual battle garments, her beacon uniform or even the dress she wore at the dance... an ill pyrrha is a sight to be cataloged, surely. but on the surface, cinder is not fazed by her appearance. she doesn't even show the slightest hint of surprise (because why would she be?) instead she tilts her had to the side, surveying how weak the young girl must feel. how much effort and energy it must have taken to simply cross the bedroom to the front door. how vulnerable. ]
Sorry to disturb. Mercury told me you were ill and I just wanted to offer some... Haven hospitality from him. [ casually throws him under the bus since... well. ] You definitely look like you need it.
[ cinder lifts the container at eye level so pyrrha can register what's being offered, considering her dulled senses and all. cinder knows better than to leave her hospitality at that and so make herself seem even more benevolent by playing up the friendly classmate act. ]
May I come in? You look a little too disorientated to walk back inside. [ "without falling over", she implies. ]
