[ Left? Right? The difference between them can be confusing, especially when under pressure. This is the guy who has "left" and "right" labelled on the soles of his shoes just in case of emergency, so it's no surprise to anyone that he first turns right. It's only for a few seconds, though, and he realizes pretty quickly that she meant the other direction!

When he sees her waving at him, he naturally returns the gesture to her, smiling fondly. No words are said during this exchange, the wave is both a friendly hello and an indication that he'll see her again soon. ]
